Removals Epsom

The work

Ordinary removals, awkward permissions

The lifting is the same everywhere. What is specific to Epsom is the number of different parties who may have a say in it, and that is the part we take off you.

We establish the regime first

Before volume, before vehicles, before dates: whose permission is needed, from whom, and in what form. In a town with five converted hospital estates, a conservation-area centre and a racecourse, that question has a genuinely variable answer.

We do the asking

Writing to the managing agent, supplying our insurance certificate in whatever form the block wants, booking the lift, finding out which estate company runs which road, applying for the bay suspension at both ends. None of it is difficult and all of it takes time, which is exactly why it gets left.

Shuttles where the street needs one

Parts of the town centre and several of the older residential streets cannot take a full-size vehicle. We stage nearby and bring the load in with a smaller one, planned at survey and priced into the quote rather than added afterwards.

Packing, if you want it

Full packing, or just the kitchen and the fragile things, itemised separately so you can see it and decline it.

Where we work

Epsom and the towns around it — Epsom Downs, Ewell, Stoneleigh, Ashtead, Banstead, Tadworth, Langley Vale, Worcester Park, Chessington, Leatherhead, Burgh Heath — plus moves in and out of the area to anywhere in the UK. A good share of our work is London households moving out here, and Epsom households moving further out in turn.

What every quote covers

Item 01

We establish the regime first

Before anything else: whose permission is needed, from whom, and in what form. It is the question that decides everything downstream.

Item 02

Agent and estate contact handled by us

We write to the managing agent or estate company, supply our insurance details in whatever form they want, and confirm the rules before your date is fixed.

Item 03

Bay suspensions applied for

At both ends where both are on controlled streets, in good time rather than at the last minute.

Item 04

Communal area protection

Lobby, lift car, corridor and stair core, as standard on every managed-block move rather than on request.

Item 05

Dismantling and reassembly

Beds, wardrobes and anything assembled in the room, with fixings bagged and labelled to the item.

Item 06

Your date checked against the race calendar

Automatically, before it is confirmed. It costs us nothing and it has saved a good many people a difficult morning.

Tell us the address and who holds the keys to the door

Both addresses, roughly how much there is, and — if it is a managed block or an estate — the name of the block or the estate. That is the detail that unlocks everything else.
