The regime people least expect. In a managed block the building has more say in your move than you do, and the agent’s rules are not negotiable on the day.
What permission is actually needed
Notice to the managing agent, almost always in writing and almost always further in advance than people expect. Some blocks want the removal company’s insurance details before they will confirm anything.
A lift booking, where there is a lift. In the converted hospital buildings the lift is frequently the only realistic route for anything large, and it is shared with every other resident.
Permitted working hours. Many blocks restrict removals to weekday daytime, which rules out the Saturday move people assume they are entitled to.
Sometimes a deposit held against damage to communal areas, refunded after an inspection.
